Ridgewed Engineering (Private) Limited is a Zimbabwean mechanical and electrical engineering company incorporated in December 1993. We supply, install and commission pumping systems for municipal water and wastewater works, mines, industrial and agricultural sectors across the country.

In 2018 Ridgewed Engineering was awarded a contract by Zimbabwe Power Company for hydraulic analysis for Stage 1 low pressure condensate extraction pumps at Hwange Power Station.
The work applied our own hydraulic analysis methods to a live generating asset, assessing system resistance, duty points and pump performance across the condensate circuit.

DEPTA is Ridgewed's own pump system software, developed in-house for design and maintenance work. It applies the Darcy–Weisbach, Colebrook and Durand formulae to calculate system resistance, friction losses, duty points and slurry transport velocities.
It is why we size equipment against measured hydraulics rather than catalogue assumptions — and it is the capability that underpinned our hydraulic analysis work at Hwange Power Station.
